Stillife Wellbeing - To be still is when healing begins....Stillife Wellbeing
It doesn't matter if you are 18 or 80. My female clients are individuals both 'young and old' who love a bit of pampering plus the added health benefits associated with beauty treatments. Stillife also has a passion to help those suffering with Fibromyalgia and ME. We understand the symptoms and support suffers. Using a combination of Massage, Reiki and Reflexology, the success rate of 'getting back your life' has been overwhelming.(Please read treatment benefits).

Dermaroller Skin Needling has revolutionised anti-aging treatments in the UK. The results are outstanding - similar to Laser Resurfacing or Fraxel® but without the price tag. The use of a professional titanium dermaroller creates thousands of tiny pin-pricks into the deeper layers of the dermis (skin). It sounds painful but it doesn't hurt. At worst there is only a mild discomfort to those who are more sensitive. You will feel a mild tingling as the dermaroller is applied and the needles penetrate your skin. This encourages the production of new collagen and elastin (this is what we lose as we age and when wrinkles begin to appear). Dermaroller makes your skin regenerate itself from within. After the treatment you are slightly 'rosey' but you can carry on with your day immediately after treatment. The benefits begin as your skin starts to repair damage and regenerate itself. The full effect takes about 6 weeks when you will see the results. Your skin will look fresher, smoother, healthier and younger. Fine lines will disappear and deeper lines will soften. Scars will fade. Depending on your own skin condition one treatment may only be required. I recommend 3 treatments but you will see results with one treatment.
Dermaroller is excellent for:
  • wrinkles / lines / crow's feet
  • scars / acne scars
  • hyperpigmentation / uneven pigmentation
  • cellulite
  • stretch marks
  • Skin tightening and pore reduction
  • Aged and sun damaged skin
  • Hand rejuvenation and age spots
Benefits of Massage
One of the most significant benefits is to provide the space, peace and quiet to enable you to relax and unwind. The direct physical benefits stimulate the body's own recuperative powers which removes blockages held in the body by diffusing lactic acid and carbon monoxide that accumulates in muscle tissue. Blood and lymph flows more freely to improve circulation and eliminate toxins and waste products which then boosts your immune system.

Facials.....You won't get the same results at home!
Facials have more value then you know! They have major health benefits in regulating the immune system, detoxification, reduction in fluid build-up, exfoliation/removal of dead skin cells for a brighter more youthful complexion, and stress relief. These benefits are achieved in a facial that incorporates lymphatic drainage, exfoliation treatments, acupressure.
Our skin is our largest organ, performing several functions, including protecting us from invasion of foreign substances (Pollution in the air) and serving as the transfer point for the release of toxins from our bodies. Facials are deep skin treatments that cleanse, rehydrate and rejuvenate the skin. A facial gives you a deep cleansing. Deeper than the cleansing you will get at home. The top dead layers of skin on the face are removed and will produce a renewed more youthful glow to your skin. Massage, which is an important part of a facial increases blood circulation, which in turn aids lymphatic drainage (the removal of toxins and waste from the body). A massage also relaxes the facial muscles and will soften lines and aid in the delay of wrinkles.

Benefits of Massage, Reiki, Reflexology for Fibromyalgia, ME
Injured or if you suffer from Fibromyalgia or ME: Massage therapy is a hands-on treatment that is fast becoming ' the best fibromyalgia treatment option' by an overwhelming margin. It is one of the best conservative treatments available because massage enhances the production of pain blockers, including endorphins, serotonin, and norepinephrine. These hormones work to counteract pain signals conducted by the brain which offers pain relief to the central nervous system. Fibromyalgia and ME suffers experience tightness in the fascia which is a thin layer of tissue coving your muscles and organs. This is what causes the pain. It has been hypothesised that fibromyalgia is an energy deficient state in the muscle tissues due to reduced circulation. It is known that fibromyalgia subjects convert muscle protein to glucose at an unusually high rate and this has been interpreted as one of the main reasons for pain, aching and fatigue. The medical profession often prescribe antidepressants (such as amitriptyline) or an anti-inflammatory (such as ibuprofen) which yields poor to moderate results.Massage therapy will address most of the physical pain symptoms with marked improvement to the sufferer without the secondary effects of medications. It will increase and improve blood circulation, increase flexibility and range of motion. Swelling, pain and stiffness will ease. You will feel relaxed which decreases anxiety and helps with improved sleep.
I am fully qualified and experienced in these conditions. I am passionate about treating Fibromyalgia patients and I want to help make your life better. I worked closely with the Fibromyalgia Association in Canada for 10 years leading support groups and working with sufferers to aid them back to a more normal life.

The feet mirror the bodies organs, systems and glands and can be mapped onto areas of the feet called reflex points. A reflexologist knows how to stimulate the reflex points in order to bring about a response in the corresponding part of the body. Its aim is to rebalance the body.Reflexology is growing increasingly popular as both a complement to other treatments and as a preventive measures for better health across Europe. In the 1990's Denmark conducted a study of patients having regular reflexology treatments. The results showed reduced sick leave and absenteeism. Employees reported complete or partial improvement in conditions they felt problematic and almost one-third of the employees reported greater satisfaction with their jobs after completing six sessions with a reflexologist.

Benefits of Reiki and What Is It!
Reiki is an ancient Japanese laying-on of hands healing technique. Reiki was first introduced to Canada and the United States in the 1970s and has become more and more popular in holistic healing throughout the world. It is not a religion. It is a treatment which uses the practitioners energy to heal and balance the subtle energies within the clients body. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. It is quite simple yet powerful! I admit, I was sceptical of Reiki back then and thought it was silly until I experienced the changes and healing of my own body and wellbeing.
